If you haven`t already done so, I would try setting CWB and shoot in JPEG mode. Some folks have reported using coloured paper as a favorable substitute for the green grass approach.
Matt surfaces in green,blue and yellow seem to work best for some. Bumping the iso and fully opening the lens aperture with the filter on should help.

Other than trying a filter with a lower cut-off than the R72 I`m all out of ideas.
