Well after a bit of research I found that the Olympus C-2020Z and the Nikon Coolpix 950 are great for IR work.
I won the Olympus on Ebay now just need to get hold of the adapter to attach the filter. I tried holding the filter up to the lens and found I'm able to hand hold so that should make life easier.
